Our Commitment A Printing Family Generations in Print From Three Centuries Investing in the Future

A printing family

The Turner family name has been associated with the print industry since the 1830’s, when Robert Turner opened his printing works. He was the first in the line of five generations who have continued the traditional craft to this day.

In the 1880’s, James Turner headed the business and was also Editor and Publisher of The Longford Independent. He handed over his printing and editorial responsibilities to his son Harold, the third generation, who died at just 33. Harold’s wife Alice continued running and developing Turners Printing company. Alice Turner’s sons, Eric and Harold, took over in the 1930’s, at a time when new investment and equipment was required, and they further expanded and updated the business.

Eric’s sons Warren and Derick, the current Directors, have been at the helm since the 1960’s, and have successfully guided and advanced the Turner Print Group as one of Ireland’s most progressive and successful printing houses of the twenty first century.

A printing family, and a family of printers, for five generations.
